2010 Glorious Roll of Destruction

2010 Young and Glorious

The TindelMichi’s  creative year will start as we always do. With our adventure into a labyrinth of monsters.

This year we have added a new edition to this Glorious Roll of Destruction, Little Blaise Tindel. The first born son. His time has come. For the very first time he will see, hear, smell and feel the power of his plastic Tonka trucks come to life. His eyes upon giant modern day mechanized dinosaurs with motors screaming and yelling in a hellish tone. DESTROY!!!!!  A surreal vision to youthful eyes still discovering the world. He is transforming, brain quickly processing all that is in the moment. The smells of a gas and oxygen combustion settling into the nostrils and soaking deep into the soft skin of the youngster. Will he be infected by the churning of these monster? Big wheels turning like giant hooves of pissed off hostile bulls kicking mud into the heavens as they circle the arena like Ben Hur. Oh the excitement, the sites and the sounds violently shaking his little
body into hyper drive until its all over. He slumps in his seat tired from an evening unbelievable visual and audible stimulation.
If he doesn’t, i know we will,  later that night dream the dream of monsters and their Glorious Roll of Destruction.

LYMBIC SYSTEM Gourd Speakers

The Limbic system serves as part of our nervous system. It is the center of our emotions and is responsible for the formation of memories and  the fight or flight response. As part of  the primitive brain, The Limbic System  is key in our self-preservation,motivation,sexual arousal ,pleasure and pain.It is the epicenter our emotional behavior.

Inspired by the Limbic System and the idea that Gourds are also used as resonating chambers on certain musical instruments.The solution for the sound installation was simple, mount a speaker into it.

These stained Gourd “Limbic Systems”  are unique sounds vessels. Hand labored gourd. There will only be 25 pairs of this sound system and the Series will close. TINDELMICHI: Two Fat Southern Boys That Paint

Many times some of the duos work is never seen.  Whether TINDELMICHI is donating artwork to various charities or creating live one time pieces, some of the paintings dont make it up onto the site.  Never again. Not with the new blog feature on the website. Digger Bird

Michi Meko,”the digger bird” is basically about southern stereotypes,and the glorious roll of destruction to freedom.During the show, the announcers kept referring to the rough Red Southern Clay,apparently this is why trucks kept violently rolling over, because of the unforgiving clay. It made me think about the unforgiving parts and the struggles of this region. So,I am wanting to bridge two iconic symbols the Grave Digger Monster Truck and the FreeBird song into a short humorous but epic film.We all cheer the destruction and in short its my modern day Ben Hur chariot ride to victory.In thought the Digger is the quadriga, rides for our freedoms, our miracles like those of Miriam and Tirzah…”

Yes it was this awesome.I feel like i am pumped ready to take control of the new year.Do some work have some fun and continue this glorious roll of destruction.I will be DREAMING BIG!!!!

Glorious Roll of Destruction

This year starts the same as every year.
Its a yearly pilgrimage to Mecca…Here the batteries
are charged and prepared for the yearly gallery G.R.O.D.
Here under the lights feast in the energy of thought,
mechanics, and engineering.The Earth thrown from its
foundation,the smell of our Burning Black GOD PETRO,
and the yells from humankind….They want destruction!!!

Let us bow down to those GODS truly greater than
thy little weak Prius. Let us revel in your destruction
of twisted metal and loud pipes. Let us flee from the guilt
in our consumption of PETRO and its prices. There is no place for
Prius Dirving Go Green Uber Gas Conserving guilt trips. This trip rolls
with out apology.YES!!! its Monster Jam Time…..
