The Limbic system serves as part of our nervous system. It is the center of our emotions and is responsible for the formation of memories and the fight or flight response. As part of the primitive brain, The Limbic System is key in our self-preservation,motivation,sexual arousal ,pleasure and pain.It is the epicenter our emotional behavior.
Inspired by the Limbic System and the idea that Gourds are also used as resonating chambers on certain musical instruments.The solution for the sound installation was simple, mount a speaker into it.
These stained Gourd “Limbic Systems” are unique sounds vessels. Hand labored gourd. There will only be 25 pairs of this sound system and the Series will close.
